Specialized in the processing of cocoa powders

Loos Cacao B.V has specialized itself in the processing of Cocoa powders, with different fat contents, and Cocoa butter and -liquor. Meanwhile Loos Cacao B.V. is proud to the fact that almost all large renowned Dutch Cocoa manufacturers belong to their customers. Moreover also several foreign manufacturers found their way to Berkhout. Products processed by Loos Cacao B.V. are shipped all over the world.

In 10 departments 13 different production lines are specially set up for Cocoa processing only.

On this production lines the following unit operations can be carried out:

  • Re-packaging of Cocoa powders from bags, FIBC’s (big bags) and in future from bulk carriers into:
    • Small size packaging (1 tot 5 kg and 12,5 lbs) in small open top bags
    • Small size packaging (250 gr. – 2 kg) transwrap packaging
    • Large size packaging (8 to 25 kg and 25 to 50 lbs) valve bags (folding spout or ultrasonic closing)
    • Large size packaging (500-1000 kg and 2200 lbs) in FIBC’s (bigbags)
    • Mixing of Cocoa powders with other powders or food ingrediënts.
    • Reconditioning (de-ironing and sieving) of Cocoa powders
    • Grinding of Cocoa powder and -cakes
    • Grinding of Cocoa butter and Cocoa liquor into powder
    • Lethicinating cocoapowders

If required it is, after consultation, also possible to:

  • By means of a self developed process to enhance the fat content of Cocoa powder i.e. from 26 up to 34%
  • Re-pack Cocoa powders or mixtures in sachets (< 100gram) or consumer packing (125- 250 gram) whether or not in a trans wrap.

Furthermore we have a special mill that is reserved for the grinding of white products such as sugars into powdered (icing) sugar and a blending line that we use to blend sugars with ingrediënts.

Grinding

The grinding of the cocoa powders is being done with the greatest possible care, so that a constant quality for your product is always guaranteed.

Mixing

Mixing of Cocoa powder with other Cocoa powders and/or other ingredients into a premix or end product is one of our specialties.

Sieving

The sieving of Cocoa powder at Loos Cacao B.V. is integrated in every production process. In every production line a sieve (or multiple sieves) is installed.

Reconditioning

Cocoa powder, whereby one ore more specifications are out of limits, is being corrected in such a way that the product is within the desired specifications.

Re-packaging

Over the years we have collected a lot of experience in the re-packaging of Cocoa powder. And we are proud to say we handle it well.

Bulk loadings

In our warehouse your products are stored under the correct hygienic and conditioned circumstances.
